Casio Unveils the GBM-2100RH: A New G-SHOCK Collaboration with Rui Hachimura

When you combine Japanese heritage, NBA dominance, and G-SHOCK toughness, you get something special. Casio has just released the GBM-2100RH, the fourth signature model created in collaboration with Los Angeles Lakers star Rui Hachimura.
This isn't just a color swap. It is a complete reimagining of the metal-covered 2100 series, designed to reflect Hachimura's heritage and his prowess in the "paint."
Design: The Golden Court
The first thing you notice is the dial. Unlike standard models, the GBM-2100RH features a stunning gold-tone background designed to mimic the reflection of arena lights on a hardwood basketball court.
But look closer at the details:
- The Shot Clock Inspiration: The digital display and red accents subtly nod to the shot clock ticking down.
- The Paint: The white area on the dial represents the key (the area under the basket), where Hachimura dominates the game.
- The "Hachi" Mark: At the 8 o'clock position (a nod to his jersey number and name), the button is engraved with the Japanese kanji 八 (Hachi).
Material & Tech: Metal Meets Solar
This is the first time a Hachimura signature model has been based on the GBM-2100 platform. This means you get the premium feel of a polished metal bezel combined with top-tier tech specs.
It comes equipped with Tough Solar (charging from any light source) and Smartphone Link (Bluetooth), ensuring that you are always on time, whether you are in Tokyo or Los Angeles.

The "Black Samurai" Signature
Hachimura's personal logo—the "Black Samurai"—is a fusion of the kanji for 8 (八) and a Japanese sword, forming the letter "H." This symbol is proudly displayed on the band loop and the special packaging.
Flipping the watch over reveals Hachimura’s autograph engraved directly onto the steel case back, certifying this as a true collector's piece.
